The Jiuzhaigou-Huanglong Airport, which has been suspended since May 8, 2006 for renovation and expansion, will be reopened to flights on 26 June, 2006. After over one-month's reconstruction, the airport will take a new look and everything will be in normal soon. There will be six flights from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou daily since 26, June, 2006. Flight services between the airport and Xian and Chongqing will return to normal days later on July 3, 2006. Since ever, visitors who want to visit the Jiuzhaigou and Hulong nature reserves won't have to endure the over 10 hours' bus journey.
