China Fashion Week kicked off on Sunday in Beijing, featuring the latest works of over 120 designers from 24 countries and regions.

The fashion trends for the autumn and winter of 2006 are expected to be unveiled during the week.

Also on the agenda are specific fashion shows sponsored by some of the world’s most well-known brands along with professional contests for youth designers, male models and more.

The 10-year-old China Fashion Week, the top fashion gala in the country, is divided into two sessions per year, held in the spring and in the fall respectively.
