The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) said it would raise the jet fuel surcharge once more due to the soaring jet fuel price. The surcharge will rise up to 60 yuan (7.5US$) on domestic flights of under 800 kilometers per passenger from 30 yuan previously. The surcharge for routes over 800 kilometers will be increased to 100 yuan (12.5 us dollar) from 60 yuan.
The change will take effect since September 1. Infant tickets and tickets for flights during this period issued before this announcement was made are exempt. Childred who pay half fare pay only half the surcharge. |
