China East Airlines will implement new baggage regulations on the China-American routes commencing 1st December 2006.
The maximum check-in baggage allowance for each first class passenger is two pieces, with each piece not exceeding 32 kg (70 pounds). Economy class passengers are also allowed two pieces with each piece not exceeding 23 kg (50 pounds). Infants are allowed only have one piece of check-in baggage. Passengers with walking problems are permitted one wheel chair or one other walking assistance device.
There is no change to the allowable size of each piece.
Excess baggage charge will apply to weight in excess of the stipulated allowance.
China East Airlines operates services from Shanghai to Los Angeles and New York.
