In the "First Cross-Strait Tourism Exposition" to be held in Xiamen city next month, tourist institutions from Fujian and Taiwan will sign an agreement linking the corresponding tourist resources between the two places, namely the Dajin lake in Fujian and the Sun Moon Lake in Taiwan.

The agreement, together with a previously signed agreement which linked the Wuxishan Mountain in Fujian with the Alishan Mountain in Taiwan, signified that tourist cooperation between the two places have entered into a deeper and interactive phase, according to Hong Kong-based Ta Kung Pao.

Director of Fujian Tourist Administration Bureau Huang Xiaoyan said tourist industry from the two places no longer acted by their own but aimed to operate from a bigger perspective. Tourist resources from the two places are expected to create a bigger effect by linking them together.

In the tourist cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan, institutions from two places will launch products and exploit the market together. They would also share information with each other in the tourist industry.

In addition to the agreement signed in the aspect of tourist resources, travel agencies from Fujian and Taiwan have also launched new routes which link the tourist sites between the two places.
