Airport fee in China amounts 90 yuan (US$11) for international flights, 50 yuan (US$6) for domestic and 10 yuan for branch flights.

So when one travels within China, an "airport construction fee" of 50 Yuan (about US$6.00) is levied at all domestic airports with the sale of plane tickets. When catching a departing flight out of China, a departure tax of 90 Yuan (about US$11.00) will be charged.Both of these fees are payable in cash (RMB) only at a special airport tax desk before check-in.

There are two exemptions to the departure tax.Passengers holding diplomatic passports on international, Hong Kong or Macao flights are exempt.Transit passengers stopping at the transit point within 24 hours are exempt from the departure tax.
